The Orsatti brand has attracted the city’s attention since 1860, when Vittorio Emanuele II was not the King of Italy yet, promoting to the sublime art the production of the Ferrara bread, that has been become the milestone of the our province’s culinary specialty. Since mid-century the Luciano Orsatti’s liveliness and intuition have been the genesis and driving force of the traditional workshop’s sweeping transformation.
The bread workshop, thanks to his direction, became high-pastry making too –i.e., he rediscovered and valued the ‘pampapato’, the typical cake of the Este good food-. This radical transformation contributed to render that workshop -placed in Via Cortevecchia Nr. 33 - the meeting point of the Ferrara gourmets and not only them.
